Question by Sgt. Pepper the Cubs fan: Explain the difference between loose and strict interpretation of the constitution using reliable sources?
I know the basic differences but I don’t really have anything to back it up with.

Strict means that only powers explicit in the constitution are for the federal government vs
loose means anything to protect those powers. Originally one of the issues was a federal bank, now loose constructionism has taken hold, very few people still argue for the strict reading (not saying its wrong, just uncommon).
