Question by Jason Harkson: How to become an interpreter in languages that you have fluency in other then your aboriginal tongue? Training too?
How not hoe, sorry for mistake.Hoe do you gain the skills to become one? I was reading on someones blog that you can go to certain schools that have course just for that.

Normally you can only become an interpreter from other languages towards your native language, not to other languages. Maybe there are exceptions, but this is the rule, at least it was when I studied (went to an interpreters’ school in Brussels). Don’t forget that this is oral translation, you have to translate at the same speed as the person is speaking, and that can be pretty fast!
