Contradictory scriptures that were suppressed in the days of Church’s power. Like the Gospel of Judas, a gnostic text. In many instances, all copies in europe were destroyed but certain translated versions in other countries remained. An another example of translation errors is that the word Jehovah is a mistranslation of YHWH. Also, in the prophecy about the virgin birth, the word virgin was mistranslated to mean virgin from the word ‘Almah’, meaning ‘young woman’. That can certainly be a challenge to belief, especially if you believe the bible to be inerrant.
