Question by Messenger of God: What do you believe of this interpretation of the 1st Amendment regarding religion?
I read a question from another Y/A member and it really got me to think about the Separation of State from Church. That’s right I said “Separation of State from Church, not the Separation of Church and State”.Under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution Bill of Rights. It says “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion”. This could mean that the government can not create laws that infringe on religious beliefs, but it does not indicate anything about religious beliefs influencing the government. What are your thoughts?
Answer by Barak is a terrorist
There has never been a “seperation of Church and State”. Elected State officials have every right to express thier indivdual religious beliefs in the public and government realms.
