Question by S. Ferdin: What translation of the Divine Comedy would you urge?
I know that the opinion of a “best” translation is subjective too opinion, so I’ll just kind of give a description of what I’m looking for. I’ll just be straight forward and say that I couldn’t enjoy reading it before because the translation I was reading was a bit dated. I dont expect prose to be simplistic but I couldnt get very far because it was written in like Old English. Can anyone recommend a translation a bit more modern?
