Question by Fingers: where can I find research on interpreter volunteering violates a tenent of COE?
Seems the wording of this tenant says “…must ask for renumeration for work” thus stopping many interpreters for the deaf from doing pro bono work.

For ASL (American Sign Language) interpreters, following the RID/NAD Code of Professional Conduct, pro bono work is explicitly written in. “Tenet 6.7 Render pro bono services in a fair and reasonable manner.”

I have a feeling your information is from the old Code of Ethics. The CPC is much clearer, much more thorough, and much newer. 😉
