TRANSCRIPTION is the process of synthesis of m-RNA from a single strand of parental DNA.TRANSLATION is the process of synthesis of polypeptides(proteins) from amino-acids with the help of m-RNA,t-RNA , ribosomes etc.Mutations are the IRREVERSIBLE,HERITABLE changes occouring in the genome(DNA)of a person.so,GENOTYPICALLY,the DNA changes. While PHENOTYPICALLY,the appearance of the person might or might not change depending on where on the DNA the mutation occours.
